Hi Kishi! NEVER give up on your dream! Sometimes when you get stuck maybe you just need to put your focus elsewhere for a little break and let it naturally come back to you. You asked if you should read eat pray love. i say yeah, it was good. I wrote my first novel Midnight Veil and it was released in March of this year. It is a coming of age story about the result of dysfunctional love, sex, and alcohol abuse set in Newport RI. The message I wanted to get across is Listen to Your Inner Voice! It's available at authorhouse.com or anywhere online really... amazon, etc,.... Good Luck with writing!!!

Bitter Fruit tells of America's role in overthrowing the democratic govt of Guatemala, basically to protect and satisfy the Dole Pineapple company. A disgusting blemish on America about which most Americans have no knowledge.
Team of Rivals is about Abraham Lincoln's early career, struggle to become president, and selection of rivals to most of his cabinet posts after he was elected. It's a fascinating insight into the man and America at that time. It is a very large book, but a very easy read. It is now one of my favorite books!

I would be thrilled for you to recommend a few books that would give me insight into your country and the people.

Based on the books I see on your shelf, you may be interested in: Bitter Fruit- The Story of the American Coup in Guatemala. Also, I would encourage you to read Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin.
