Glad to see you've resurfaced, and that those five are still hanging on. I'll have to pick it up soon. What did you like about it? Off to search for a possible review from you...

Hey friend! I'm just popping into say, I haven't found anything yet, but then I'm traveling to MPLS and will be there for a week-fresh territory to explore! What say you to an extension? I'll be there and maybe not as tied into Shelfari (my aunt still has dial-up!:) and the net...Want to compare our finds the end of 1st week in September? I hope you find something that delights you! :)

Sorry to see you're knee deep in guano right now. I'll send a shovel, and cross my (gloved) fingers that things clear up soon. I would make a joke here about Spider Jerusalem's special gun (volcanic evacuations or some such), but it'd just be too easy. Hang in there.

PS I hope you do start a found group, maybe you could even build one on shelfari, w/ people who enjoy reading Davy's books and mags. What are you thinking though? Can't wait. Enjoy your search!

king mob, that sounds awesome! Today I'm taking my LS, Nikka (I'm a "Big" with BBBS) to BIG SURF-a water park. Potential to FIND some great (albeit)soggy finds! I'm going to clue her into search too, which will make it fun! I bet Nikka (my 14yo LS) will have great radar for seeking out found material!! Imagine...she has access to JR high school trash cans. LOL!!

    Hi Kingmob!
You should totally create a FOUND group, fun fun fun! I don't have a set date in mind, but we could try Aug. 31st, or is that too nearby? :)

Do you know what we should do, if you want to?? What if we challenge ourselves to pick up any (reasonably sanitary!:) slips of paper etc.,other found items and share our finds with one another by a set date? I'm a goob! :)

Right well, professional man, I do hope you drop your ducats on Ellis's novel, so you can tell me all about it. I'm greedy that way. Have a good weekend, gathering stars (let's hope it manages to keep them all!).
    cheers,

    Hi, Kingmob,
I read your post on Chaigirl's page and was interested in your reference to the Found magazine. My stepson had told me about it, and shortly after, I found a note on the street I wanted to submit--it was on veterinary pad paper, and it said, "Stewart McGuire--no peanut butter please!"

    Hello kingmob,
Know what?? I was born in a little town way up close to Lake Superior! Ever heard of Ashland, WI? I like that you found me by clicking on the "Sacred" book (sounds like I'm saying bible, or Torah! haha) I also enjoy finding friends that really like a book that I have, it always seems really neat if, like in this case, they are the only other "shelfarian" to have that book. I think that Davy Rothbart has a couple of books out, kingmob. Cool 'eh? I saw him do his schtick twice at the Madison WI Book festival. He's such a funny, sincere guy. He's definitely on to something with FOUND! Did you know that he is often featured on IRA GLASS (NPR) for segments in the show, All American Life?" That's where I first discovered him!

Thanks again for the tip on Desmond Morris. I look forward to chatting you up in the future! :) If you feel like, it swing by and join our group, 24 Challenge. I just started it last week. Bye Kingmob!
