I am a busy working mom, who reads voraciously. I will read almost any genre if it sounds interesting or comes highly recommended. My favorite books typically involve a strong female protagonist--but I am certainly not one to pass up some trashy beach read on occasion! Did you like The Magicians? I'm thinking of picking it up for my eReader. Just wondering if it was as good as it sounds.

    Eclectic Book Club Peeps:

All righty, let's have those nominations for our next big read. What's everyone in the mood for?

Post your selections in the "Genres" thread and we'll hash it out. If that takes too much energy, I will put all genres nominated in a hat and pick one at random!

Have you seen the movie "High Fidelity"? I wonder how close to the book it is. Did you like it? I loved the movie!

You absolutely should read some Barbara Kingsolver- she's amazing. Most people would say their favorite was The Poisonwood Bible, and it was an excellent book, but Prodigal Summer is by far my favorite.

Careful- they are addictive- totally- They are a quick read, but you won't be able to put them down. Lexi might like them, too.

Isn't this just so much fun. I found books on your shelf that I have forgotten about, like Red Tent which I loved.

I haven't read ANY of the books on your "shelf" yet! I do have "The Kite Runner" on my iPod, but haven't listened to it yet.
