Whenver I'm sitting down - which isn't very often - I feel compelled to be reading something. Anything. Even the back of a cereal box. I've loved books since mom and dad read aloud to me as a little sprout. Now I'm also a professional mom, homeschooler, blogger, author, and chief wrangler at "the 'ole testosterone ranch." I have 5 boys,... more »

Every time I've tried to post a note, I've had to do something more urgent! Well, important and more urgent! All sorts of things have crowded you out! Sorry about that.
    I will reply soon. Hopefully.

Yea. We are starting Girl Scouts again. So come the spring...I'll be awash in cookies! I need to find some religious arguement to abstain from cookie sales, cuz these Girl Scouts are hard core!!

You should get an award for raising five boys. I have one boy and three girls. The one boy was harder to raise than all three girls. I plan to read your blogs. I keep having company today so not much time. I have more coming later. Have a great day, Doylene

I love black art and so I collect it for my home. I go online and look to see what I can find and have a collection of pictures stored on my computer which I use for my background. I loved this one because this is how I feel on the inside. I love to dance and lose 50 plus pounds just dancing.

Howdy. Thanks for the friend invite. Yep, that's Starry Night as my avatar right now. (It changes every so often.) I love that picture. My favorite piece of art. There are a couple other Van Gogh's from that same timeframe I like, too.

Hello, Kikero! Nice to meet you and thanks for the friendship invite. We seem to have no books in common. that's ok! Sounds like the life and times of a mom we have in common. Only, I live in estrogen-ville. Even the dogs are girls. Poor hubby is sooooo outnumbered!

Thanks for the invite! I feel like I already know you after reading your intro :). Do you live in Washington? I live in a little town just west of Steven's Pass on Highway 2...God's country!

You asked if I liked The Divinci Code. I did, although not as much as Angels and Demons. I certainly consider it a complete work of fiction (as it was meant to be) but it was a little disturbing to read some of the twisted theology used in the story line. Dan Brown is such a fabulous author that I couldn't miss one of his books. I can't wait until the next one is released!

I really loved Uglies, and I think you would like it. I don't really know what type of books you read, so I don't really know, but I know I liked it, but I didn't exactly LOVE it. But it was really good.

Hey there - I **LOVE** The Sacred Romance. Started it years ago and stopped in the middle - not sure why and recently picked it back up where I left off and it's just at the right place for me now. How about you? The funny thing about my picture is if you look carefully she could pass for Matthew Broderick (especially one of his looks in Ferris Bueller's Day Off). Blessings, Virginia

Thanks for the invitation. You have a very interesting shelf I'd like to look over more closely. I think you would like "The Velveteen Principles". It makes a nice gift.
