I love to read since I was a little girl. Working in a bookstore makes it easy for me to read, because reading and advice people what to read is my job. (Oh, what a punishment!) It gives me a chance to read about many subjects and genres.
I like every kind of book as long as it contains characters and a good story, but most of all I like history (specially China & Medieval), SF, fantasy, & children books. Next to these books I also like classic books, specially Shakespeare, Charles Dickens and Jane Austen.
In 2008 I began to read the list of the dutch version of
1001 books you must read before you die. That will keep me busy for a couple of years!
Next to reading, History is my passion and work. As a historian I'm mostly interesting in Medieval and China after 1949. Working in the British Museum in London or Musee du Louvre in Paris would be my dream job.
If you want to be my Shelfari-friend, please don't hesitate to become one. I like to hear what people all over the world are reading and think about books.
My wish-list is also my plan-to-read-list. If you have any good recommendations, I love to hear them!
Keep on reading in a free world!!!
