I am a 61 year old widow who loves to read. In my lifetime I have had 3 distinct careers and have worked to improve the world around me. I have 4 children and 9 grandchildren from 16 to 1. Currently, I am taking more photography lessons and art lessons.
I love a story that pulls me in and takes me to new places and experiences. I love to study spiritual paths and I have never stopped being an advocate for women's issues. I like to explore new ideas and thoughts. I helped to start a Domestic Violence shelter in the 70's and started a Legal Unit to provide legal assistance for battered women. I worked as a counselor also. I don't believe in judging others, I believe in the unity of the world's major religions. I believe that God-Goddess-Divine Energy must be really sick of being blamed every time humans decide to kill during war or peace. I believe that when we find justice for the people of the world, we will find peace. I also love to cook and collect cookbooks. I love gardening even though I can't do the physical work now. I love to collect gardening books also.
"Listen to the exhortations of the dawn!
Look well to this day! For it is life.
The very life of life.
In its brief course lie all the verities
And realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth,
The glory of beauty of action,
The splendor of beauty;
For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today well lived
Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn."
