Awesome! Can't wait to read SPARROW and I'm still trying to get my hands on a copy of THE REACH. I wish I had more time to read but so far I'm really enjoying THE BONE FACTORY. I've been trying to learn web design so I can maybe change my circumstances a little. Not really enjoying my job at the moment and I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. Not sure how to get out of it either.

Anyway, there are only 19 and a half days left until the holidays and then we'll be on a plane to Victoria for a week. I'm really looking forward to that because it will be some desperately needed rest and relaxation.

As for writing, I think about it all the time... but I haven't written a word in weeks.

So, have a great holiday season, get some writing done and relax a little too. Here's to an amazing 2010!

    Talk to you soon.

Hey Nate! Hope things are turning around for you. And I hope you're getting to write a lot too.

Have a great holiday season if I don't talk to you by then! Hopefully the new year will be better for both of us!

Really? You have some troubling family developments too? I hope nothing too serious.

Well, I think that when people read the novels that you already have available they're hooked and can't wait for the next one to become available. And when the reader base gets wide enough you'll be set. Besides, you're brilliant passion for the craft will get you there whether SPARROW ROCK is the breakout novel or not. You will get there.

I wrote for a little bit today because I was at home while our flooring was being installed. It felt kind of dry but it's there. I also heard about NaNoWriMo. Not sure if I'll sign up for that or not but it's something to think about since it's coming up soon.

I'm really looking forward to SPARROW ROCK. May 2010 won't get here soon enough!

Wow! You are a writing juggernaut! Most impressive! The best you've ever done??!! Might be your breakout novel??!! I can't wait to get my hands on it then! That is really awesome! I'm excited for you!

I've been managing to get some reading in lately. More than I have in the last while anyway. We've had some troubling developments in our family that demand attention so I haven't turned as many pages as I would like to. I've been reading the DEXTER series as well as some King that I have on my shelf that are as yet unread. Hopefully things will settle in the next couple of weeks and I can get some real reading done!

Keep going, Nate. Personally, I think you're well beyond well on your way to writing full time and as your living! I hope it happens for you soon!

Hey Nate! I found THE REACH and THE BONE FACTORY at the Indigo here in town. They have it shelved right around Stephen King. I couldn't help but think, how appropriate!

Hope things are well with you!

Hi Nate! Lucky for us it didn't happen in the Dominican. We got to walk on the beach every day for hours on end. Which is why we both got sun burned. She stepped off a curb here in town after we had been on a long walk. We think that it was just the way she stepped and the shoes that she was wearing.

You? Writing? Never! I kinda figured as much. That's what writers do, right? Awesome though. Good to hear that you're steaming through it quickly.

Maybe when you're done writing this one you'll be able to get away for a week or something. Take in some sun, some ocean and some shows. Relax a bit and then write a best seller! And hopefully, your 2009 keeps going well.

    Talk to you soon,

    Jay

Hey there, Nate! It's been a while so I just wanted to drop you a line to see how things are going. I saw THE REACH at Indigo but I haven't picked it up yet. My wife broke her ankle pretty badly (surgery, plates, pins and wire) so I've been taking care of her.

We had a great time in the Dominican though... fun times for sure! We swam with sharks and stingrays. Did you get away with your wife yet? You had mentioned that you were going to try to take a trip somewhere. If not, I highly recommend the Dominican. Punta Cana in particular. Gorgeous!

Well, I hope you and your family are well.

    Take care,

    Jay

Yes, I have the cover. I'll email it to you.

The book is about a disgraced special forces interrogator who stumbles across a plot to send everyone to Hell and realizes he may be the only one who can stop it, even though he knows he's headed there, regardless.

Thanks. Yes, its officially a September release, but it apparently starts going out on August 25th. I'm starting to gear up. I should be unveiling a new website in about three weeks. I'm exploring some other things, too. But it's too early to discuss those.

I just returned my comments on the copyedits yesterday, and someone emailed me that they saw it was available for preorder already on Amazon.

Thanks! I'm sure it will be great! Once I get over having to get shots (not fond of shots) and having to fly (don't like to fly) it will be just awesome!!

That's great! For us, our Christmas day just sort of came and went... we went to my in-laws for turkey dinner and it was amazing (as usual) and we spent the day there playing wii and Killer Bunnies.

We did book a trip though. Just today in fact. So on the 27th of February, my wife and I will finally be taking our honeymoon! To Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for a week. Its only been eleven and a half years coming.

I'll second that toast... to 2009... and success for us both.

You're not kidding! It isn't as cold as it's going to get here yet but it is coming.

We were thinking of going to the Dominican. You have any ideas for your destination?
