I was a big reader as a child, but got lost in all the textbooks of high school and college, and quit reading much for pleasure. Since then, I've considered it a big reading year, if I've finished more than 3 books. Since 2008 or so, I've slowly given up watching TV and have found much more time and interest in reading. In 2010, I read over 30 books and my goal is to read 36 books a year from now on.
My favorite genre is historical fiction. I will read nonfiction, if it reads like fiction (ex. Three Cups of Tea), some fantasy, and a little bit of young adult. « less
“Great story. Brilliant writing! I loved Irving's writing style and use of the past tense, foreshadowing and flashbacks. The only negative was that it was not an easy or quick read.”
