Hello! I love my husband, my two chihuahuas, and books. I have a BA in Literature and Writing and am currently getting my masters degree. I teach middle school drama, tech, and history. I m an aspiring novelist, screenwriter, and actress. And, of course, I m addicted to reading!

    If Sita (from the Last Vampire Series) got in a fight with Edward... he would be in little sparkly pieces before he got a chance to ask her name.... She is the most badass of teen vamps. :)

    Have you read The Last Vampire Series by Christopher Pike? It came out when we were in middle school and they have recently rereleased it as "Thirst". It is simply the best vamp book for teens ever written.

    I really liked this book. It had enough action and interesting characters in each chapter. I have not read the second one, "City of Ashes". It is a young adult novel, but it kept my interest. I am going to buy the series for my 24 year old daughter. She was a huge fan of the Twilight series.

    Twilight is very nice, it's young and quite vibrant.... it' wonderful, and expresses the emotions felt by a teenage girl in a wonderful manner. And the story is very captivating also. first time, I cared for vampires.... :)

    Yes, you should read Twilight. The story is told through the eyes of a 16- or 17-year-old girl. I have a 16-year-old and can say that Bella's observations and dialog are pretty accurate and believable. I can't say that I'm a big fan of the fantasy genre but maybe you are ... I read it because it's all the rage with my daughter's friends. Meyer has a nice style that's easy to read because she is aiming toward the teen reader.
