I know what you mean! I probably have at least 50 books out on my card currently. I'm not sure as I lost count but it is surely a lot. As a staff employee at the library we don't have to pay late fees if our books are a few days overdue but despite all that, I still somehow manage to keep track of when they are due!!
You know what my shopping list is for books? My Shelfari shelf! After each payday, I look on here and see what I can buy within my budget! :)
