Live about 70 miles south of DC. Due to traffic, it is a about 2 hours away. Good luck with your new group.
Hello! I noticed that you are a Shelfari member who lives in Maryland--are you around DC? (If you are far away from DC, just delete this post and thanks for your time.) Unfortunately, for whatever reason, a lot of the groups for DC residents don't appear to be very active, whaich is a shame because I'd like very much to connect with other DC-area book lovers. What I'd like to do is start a new DC group on Shelfari. It doesn't have to be a traditional "book group" where we choose a book and then read it. I'd like it to be more like a bulletin board that focuses on the rich DC book culture, where we can post upcoming events or talk about a book that's making waves around town or recommend different DC bookstores. However, before I start such a group, I'm trying to make sure that there is enough interest, and the group doesn't become just another inactive group on the pile. So I'm contacting members of these other groups and anyone who mentions that they live in the DC area to see if they'd be interested in taking part. You don't have to promise that you'll post every day; but I would ask that if you know something going on that others in the group would like to know about, you mention it in the group. Please contact me by Wednesday either way--if you are interested or not interested. If I get enough people who mention that they are interested, I will contact you about the group starting up so that you can join it.Thanks so much! Hope to hear from you soon!Meghan
Do you still have a copy of The Sea Captain's Wife?
Dear friendI'm so after the book "red tent". unfortunately I couldn't find it in my country(Iran). so if you, by any chance, have the PDF format of this book, I would be thankful beyond the words, if you let me have it.Best
You'd better get hot. You need to catch up.
