I have always loved to read. I read everything that's put in front of me and actively pursue new books. I currently work in a library, so patrons and co-workers help to feed my TBR list. I love having free access to just about any book my heart desires. I hope to someday open a used bookstore or get my MLS (or both).

I love Odd Thomas, my most favorite one was the very first one, I don't remember now which is which, I like all the characters, because all of them are just normal, everyday people. They be eccentric but who isn't, right? We are kinda odd in our own special way. People might not know it, but they have their own quirks that is uniquely theirs. And I'm glad to be your friend. I like your cat, she/he is cute. I got a dog, but I like all kinds of pet.

    Dear Kat,
I am very amused to know that probably your cats are also fond of reading. One of the jokes that I enjoyed very much was that a man was watching a play. During interval he noticed that sitting next to him was a gentleman ,and in the seat next to him was his dog. A little sarcastically he asked the gentleman if his dog is enjoying the play.
The gentleman turned to him and said ,"he liked the book better than the play."
    wishing you a nice day,urmil.

I agree with you that Odd Thomas is really one unique character that grows on. There's nothing really so special about him. But he grows on you. Haven't read other Koontz books, the Odd series are the only ones on recommendation by gf.
