I graduated from library school in the Spring of 2010. So far I'm not working in my chosen field, but I hope to break into it at some point!

I'm a huge horror fan, but I enjoy lots of other genres. King is my absolute favorite, IT and the Dark Tower series top my list. I'm always open to suggestions, so feel free to recommend something... more »

I have a baby due in June, and this is the first book I bought for his or her library. It's always been one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books. As a kid, I just loved it for the story. Reading it as an adult, I see the message and love it just as much. Also, the pictures and colors are awesome!

I thought this book was ok. I listened to it, actually. I felt really bad for the main characters, Angel and Seth. They were treated so badly it made me angry, but it was almost so over the top that it took me out of the story. I didn't know anyone that mean in high school. Well, at least I hope I didn't know anyone that mean. The witchcraft element in the story was interesting, but it left me wishing I knew more about what actually happened in the story. That's not always a bad thing, though. A fairly open ending can leave you thinking about a book a lot longer than a neat and tidy one.

I don't normally read books like this, but I really got sucked into the story. I thought Cannie was easy to relate to. I found myself really wanting good things happening to her. Like a lot of chick lit books, things take a really BIG swing for the better. I found this a little unbelievable, but I guess this is why it's fiction! It was a really fast read, and if you like chick lit, this is a good choice.

I wasn't super impressed with this book. I thought it was an ok read, but I'm not sure I would recommend it to anyone.

Although I found the end a little less satisfying than I had hoped for, it was the journey the book took me on that made me like this book. It's been quite a while now

I thought the story in this book was really interesting. I thought there were some good twists and turns in there. It seems fairly typical for John Saul, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm on quite the Saul kick right now, and this one didn't disappoint me.

This was a book for school, so it wasn't something I would read for fun. However, if you enjoy book clubs and are interested in an analysis of the roles it plays in members' lives, you'll probably find some interesting stuff in it.

This book definitely kept me turning the pages! I read it for a class, but it really was something I would read regardless. I figured out a little more of the ending than I had expected, but there were definitely some things I didn't see coming. There's a movie coming out based on the book, and I'll probably see it.

This was one of the recent books on my audio kick. I enjoyed the story quite a bit. I'm usually one who enjoys an ending that is fairly ambiguous, and this one definitely left me with a few questions remaining. Maybe even more questions than I would prefer. I would suggest this if you like thrillers, serial killers, and open endings.

I read this because it was recommended on a thread in the Chiller group. The story was pretty good, I read it over my lunch period. I've been wondering if this story was an inspiration for the novel The Ruins. There were definitely similarities between the two.
