Hi Kathleen. I didn't even know there was a sequel to The Book of the Dun Cow, so thank you for that recommendation. I'm going to add it to my ever-growing list of books to be read. And now I'm off to explore your shelf to see what else I need to add. :)

Red Letters was really convicting. But it also gave tiny steps and huge steps to making a difference on another continent or in our own backyards. Davis covered heavy medical info without overkill. Stories that broke my heart fill the book. But like I said, he shares how we can shape the world for a few or many. Some of the cost of the book went toward a need. I think it would be a great source for small groups or families looking for a way to start or increase the impact they can leave on the world. All said...I'm glad I read it and recommend it.

    Nice talking to you!!!!!!!!!

Interesting to see Krista Tippett's book on your wish list--I have the volume sitting in my TBR stack and hope to get to it in the next month or two. I have enjoyed (and learned from!) many of her podcasts.

Will you be attending the Calvin Festival of Faith & Writing? I'm trying to work out the finances, as I've never been to it but hear it is a remarkable gathering. Tippett is one of the many speakers this year.

Thanks for the invite. No I'm not reading that many books at once. Many of the books on that shelf are books that I have started to read but never finished. Many are the type of books that you don't just read the whole thing. You refer to them when you need them.

Thanks for the friend invitation, Kathleen! Any fan of Madeleine L'Engle's is a friend of mine! I see we have a number of other books in common, too.

I'll check out your novel. And if you read kids' books and are interested in exploring church history via action and dialogue instead of traditional textbooks, you might like my History Lives series. Visit me anytime at mindywithrow.com or historylivesseries.com.

Looking forward to chatting with you in the future!

    Hi Kathleen -

Thanks for accepting my offer of friendship! I noticed that you are a fmember of the Spiritual Formation group. I've written a book series you might enjoy. "How Do You Know He’s Real?" features the testimonies of more than 100 actors, recording artists and athletes who share how their faith has impacted their lives in the spotlight.

You can read excerpts and see the list of participants on my website, www.amyhagberg.com.

Looking forward to getting to know you, and Happy New Year!
