Good day to all fellow book lovers and writers ☺ I love to write fiction and poetry and am an amateur photographer. I like walking in spring rains, talking to my children; keeping up on politics and what's happening around the world, traveling, music, genealogy, growing things, reading a variety of novels, watching old movies and Christmas. The first and second book in this trilogy have been a real surprise. The stories are vey well written and hoist the reader into a new post apocalyptic world.

In part two of the Chiveis Trilogy (begun with The Sword) Bryan Litfin leads readers in Ana and Teo's continuing journey. Cast out of their beloved Chiveis, and into a post-apocalyptic Italy where beauty and sensuality reign supreme, they encounter further persecution and realize that not only is Deu's religion prohibited in their homeland, but has also been targeted by powerful leaders in other lands.

I enjoyed this second book more than the first and anxiously await the release of the third book.

The beautiful story of Princess Kaiulani and her companion Hannah - from their journey from Hawaii to England and back home again. Set during the late 1800's when the grandson's of the missionaries, who had turned their backs on God, were attempting to abolish the Hawaiian Monarchy and make the Islands a US Territory...

I was rather disappointed in the end. Why in blazes did her sister Primrose die? What was there point? Where was the authors brain? Wasn't there enough death already? Why Peeta? That did not make sense. That is NOT who she was in love with. Why did Gail turn out bad? That was stupid. He loved Katniss. Why did the new government turn out to be so evil...? And if so wouldn't Gail have noticed? Certainly! There were just a lot of let downs that did not make sense to me. Was the author going for the shock treatment, because it didn't work. I just felt let down.

At first I didn't know if this would be worth reading but eventually I did begin to enjoy the story. It is about an young English lady, Lizzy and all the problems she encounters with love, maturing, family, her career, and dealing with issues of every day life - such as an aunts wedding and the selling of the family estate... The story is rather humorous and tugs on the heart from time to time.

I really enjoyed this story, set during the Great Depression. The story is about a teenager who goes about trying to give his family a wonderful Christmas amidst much hardship. A must read for the holiday season.

This book was a nice surprise. It's a simple read with a great message and a rather romantic ending. I also enjoyed all the old traditions of Christmas.

This story was a nice surprise. I'm looking forward to reading the next two books in the Chiveis Trilogy.

It has been 400 years since world as we know it has been destroyed due to nuclear war and a horrendous plague. Those who have survived have created small civilizations, similar to the Middle Ages.

The Kingdom of Chiveis serves three gods. Chiveis is a farming community set in the Valley of three mountains.

Captain Teofil, the leader of the Fifth Regiment Chiveis, is well respected for his fighting ability.

Anastasia is from the small village of Edgeton, and is known for her beauty, singing, and skill with a bow.

The two are thrown together on a perilous journey of rescue and find themselves learning about a new god Deu, who was worshiped by the Ancients.

It's a story I could hardly put down.

An extremely well written and fascinating - fictional - account of Eve and Adam. Ms. Lee did a lot of historical research and her prose is beautiful.
