Hi Katfireblade, I just started reading "Nobody's Son" because of your recommendation in the Favorite Fantasy group. It's really engrossing so far, even though I'm only a short ways in. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for accepting my friendship. I also love nursery rhymes and sing them to my granddaughters who think they are fun. They keep you open minded, young, and free.
    Happy reading

I can't believe you have Canticle for Leibowitz on your shelf here. I just bought it for your brother for his birthday.

Wow. I've been meeting a lot of people writing fantasy and horror lately, which is great because I love both.

I actually write as well as edit. Unfortunately, most of my time that I would be spending writing lately has been going to editing, but that's okay because we're working on getting the second book of The Creative Writer series out.

I like a little bit of everything. I know that whenever I sit down to write a new piece, I try to write something completely different from anything else I've written. So I guess that keeps me from getting boxed into a genre. At the same time, there's something to be said for sticking to a certain genre and pumping out work in it. It can definitely make one more marketable.

I also jump around a bit in medium. I write fiction, stage plays, and screenplays. And I dabble in poetry from time to time, though I don't consider myself a poet.

Lately, screenplays have been where most of my writing has gone. I do live in Los Angeles, so that makes sense.

When you're writing, do you usually plan for a novel?

    Hi,
I just read your reply to the thread What's Your Comfort Zone? on NNBR. Unfortunately, I agree with all that you said. It is sad that open discussion is seen as a threat by so many these days.
Anyway, your reply made me curious to find out more about you so I came to your profile page. Well, I like the way you set that up, too. :-)
After I send this message, I am going to request your friendship. :-)
