“This was a quick and entertaining read but when I finished I was left feeling like the writer was lazy and manipulative. Just my opinion but it felt kind of "hacky".”

“It's so hard for me when EVERYONE is raving about a book and telling you that you just HAVE to read it because it's SO amazing. “I love everything Perez-Reverte writes so I have passed the ability to remain objective several books back...this is not his best but it is a fun read in the ongoing Captain Alatriste series.”

“For some reason this book sat on my shelf for a long time, I just couldn't seem to muster the interest in reading it...I was wrong! Eggers writes a heartbreaking and hilarious memoir. The only knock on the book is it seemed to just fizzle out at the end...it's heard when you are writing a memoir in your 20's to come up with a satisfactory ending. It felt like he just stopped writing and thought "good enough". ”
