Thanks for the recommendation!! I just requested it through ILL. I can't wait to read it. My coworker and I have been working with one professor's freshman English class this semester specifically on the topic of graphic novels in libraries, so we've all gone mad for graphic novels. Your suggestion is timely. PLUS, it comes from you, so I know it's an AWESOME suggestion. Can't wait to read it! Miss you, pretty girl! [3

I didn't see this until today, guess it came when I was overwhelmed with the newness of Patrick (that still hasn't worn off, but at least I know which way is up). I'm glad you liked it. Have you read his other book yet? Thousand Splended Suns? Just as good!!! But about women. I wanted to put one on my favorites list and couldn't figure out which one. Love and miss you!!!

Thanks for the recommendation of The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. It was excellent. Mary had to read another of Alexie's books when she started undergrad at Miami of Ohio.

The Shawshank Redemption and the Dead Zone are great books and good movies as well from King.

The problem with book collecting is that it takes up a lot of space. Yet, it is worth it. I saw you loved the Green Mile. It is one of my favorites also. I bought it when it came out in six serials. I liked the way King published it in installments the same way Dickens had when he was publishing.

Have you read The Graveyard Tales, this year's Newberry award winner. I thought the character development was outstanding.

I really enjoyed The Known World by Edward P. Jones. I think you will like the writing style and the characters.

What did you think of Angela's Ashes. I thought it was very good but I thought Frank McCourt is a sexist pig for blaming his mother for doing what she had to do to feed her family while giving his useless father a free pass.

I did not identify with anyone in her book but you will recognize the issues raised in the upcoming Presidential election.

I read Atlas Shrugged last summer. It was hard to get through but I think of it often as life events unfold. Reading at least one Ann Rynd is a must for a well-rounded reader.

I'm so glad you like it! I was hoping I hadn't built it up too much!

But I'm sure your coworkers and family will be happy if you would bathe and go to work!
