assalamu alaikum wr wb dear brother, this is one of my reply in discussion about Adam..takecare and Allah bless and have mercy upon you and all muslims, ameen

.........what have we learned through that about human nature ?

In surah al baqara [2:31]...And He taught Adam the NATURE of all things then He place them before the angels and said " Tell me the nature of these if ye are right."

WaAAallama adama al-asmaa kullaha thumma AAaradahum AAala almala-ikati faqala anbi-oonee bi-asma-i haola-i in kuntum sadiqeena

verse 32:They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what Thou Hast taught us: In truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom."

Qaloo subhanaka la AAilma lana illa ma AAallamtana innaka anta alAAaleemu alhakeemu

verse 33.He said: "O Adam! Tell them their natures." When he had told them, God said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?"

Qala ya adamu anbi/hum bi-asma-ihim falamma anbaahum bi-asma-ihim qala alam aqul lakum innee aAAlamu ghayba alssamawati waal-ardi waaAAlamu ma tubdoona wama kuntum taktumoona

In verese 31....the word "nature" literally means in arabic throughout the passage are " The name of things.." which commentators take to mean the inner nature and qulities of things and things here include feelings. The whole passage is charged with mystic meaning. The particular qualities or feelings which were outside the nature of angels were put by God into the nature of man. Man was thus able to love and understand love, and thus plan and initiate as become the office of vicegerent. The angels ackowledge this. These things they would only know from the outside but they had faith or belief in the Unseen. And they knew that God saw all-what others see ,what others do not see, what others may even wish to conceal. Man has many qualities which are latent or which he may wish to suppress or conceal,to his own detriment.

A Poem by Imam Ali (AS)

Your sickness is within you, though you do not realize,

And your cure is within, yet you do not see.

You claim that you are nothing but a tiny entity,

Yet wrapped up inside of you is the greatest universe.

You are the clear book, through whose letters

All that is secret is revealed and made known.

So you have no need for anything outside of you,

Your consciousness is within you, though you do not know.

Meaning of Friendship - A Nice Story

One day, when I was a freshman in high school,

I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school.

    His name was Kyle.

It looked like he was carrying all of his books.

I thought to myself, 'Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday?

He must really be a nerd.'

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him.

They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so h e landed in the dirt.

His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.

He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes

My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.

As I handed him his glasses, I said, 'Those guys are jerks.'

    They really should get lives.

'He looked at me and said, 'Hey thanks!' There was a big smile on his face.

It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived.

As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before.

He said he ha d gone to private school before now.

I would have never hung out with a private school kid before.

We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books

He turned out to be a pretty cool kid.

I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends

    He said yes.

We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge s tack of books again.

I stopped him and said, 'Boy, you are going to really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!

'He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends.

When we were seniors we began to think about college.

Kyle decided on Georgetown and I was going to Duke.

I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem.

He was going to be a doctor and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class.

I teased him all the time about being a nerd.

He had to prepare a speech for graduation.

I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak

    Graduation day, I saw Kyle.

    He looked great.

He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school.

He filled out and actually looked good in glasses.

He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him.

Boy, sometimes I was jealous! Today was one of those days.

I could see that he was nervous about his speech.

So, I smacked him on the back and said, 'Hey, big guy, you'll be great!'

He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled.

    'Thanks,' he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began

'Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years.

Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach..but mostly your friends...

I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them.

I am going to tell you a story.'

I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met.

He had planned to kill himself over the weekend.

He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.

He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.

    'Thankfully, I was saved.

My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable.'

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment.

I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.

Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life.

For better or for worse God puts us all in each others lives to impact one another in some way.

    Look for God in others.

'Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.'

There is no beginning or end.. Yesterday is history.

    Tomorrow is a mystery.

    Today is a gift.

It's National Friendship Week. Show your friends how much you care.

    Peace Be upon you

    {Times of Du’a}

    RECOMMENDED TIME OF DUA:

    a. Friday and Friday night

    b. On Wednesday between noon and afternoon

    c. Time of night prayer

    d. The first one sixth of midnight.

    e. One third of the last hours of night About recommended prayer after midnight, Imam Sadeq (A.S.) says: "Don't let your eyes fully enjoy sleep, for eyes are the least thankful to Allah."

In this connection, the Holy Prophet of Islam has said: "When a true believer rises up to please Allah with the recommended prayer after midnight, while slumber has overpowered his eyes, Allah speaks proudly to His angels saying: Do you see this servant of mine who has risen up to perform the prayer which is not obligatory! Therefore I take you as witness that I have forgiven his sins."

    f. Grand Night (Leylatolqadr)

    g. Ahya Nights (spending night awake) There are four nights during which keeping vigil is recommended. These nights are:

The first night of Rajab The night of fifteenth of Sha-baan. The night of E'edul Fitr The night of E'edul D'uh'aa It is related that: "It was surprising for Imam Ali (a.s.) to be idle on such nights and not to pray."(meaning he would spend all night in Ebadat)

    h. Arafah day It is a day for prayer (Dua) and asking one's need. Hence although observing fast is highly recommended if one becomes too ill to pray, it is better to pray and not fast.

    i. When wind is blowing

    j. When call to prayer is made (Azaan)

    k. When it is raining

    l. When the first drop of a martyr's blood is dripped.

Zeid shahham has quoted Imam Sadeq (AS) as saying:

"Pray on four occasions: When the wind is blowing, at noon, when rain is falling, and when the first drop of a believer's blood drips, for at such times the gates of heavens are opened."

Imam Sadeq (AS) also has said:

"When noon arrives, the gates of heavens will be opened and great desires will be fulfilled." The Imam was asked how long? The Imam said: "During a time one can perform a four-rak’at prayer with tranquillity."

    m. From dawn to sunrise Abol Sabak Kanani quotes Imam Baqer (AS) as saying:

"Allah answers the call of those servants of His who often pray (Du’a). Therefore, pray at dawns until sunrise, for the gates of paradise are opened at this time. Daily food is distributed at this time and great needs are met."
