Git on wit yo bad self, J.A. Konrath! Those who loved the previous books in the Jack Daniels series won't be disappointed with FUZZY NAVEL. From the first sniper's shot, this book is slam bam in your face.

Jack Daniel's day has been pretty bad, but no one can imagine what's still in store for the detective when she heads home to check on her mom in the burbs. But when she gets there and finds that everyone is all tied up-literally, she isn't quite ready to give up. Not yet, anyway. Jack's past has come back with a vengeance and this time, it's looking like no one is getting out alive. Worse than discovering her home has been invaded, her work has followed her home.

Konrath has a take no prisoners writing style that seeps into every pore, leaving the reader breathless and exhausted. FUZZY NAVEL is an action-packed must read.

  • Inside the Shadow City

The Shadow City has lay beneath the streets of Manhattan for quite some time, virtually forgotten by all--well, almost all. Kiki Strike, has a secret, and a mission, actually, it's a secret mission and she needs the help of a very select few. This is when she hits the local Girl Scout troops to recruit her genius band of "Irregulars."

Ananka Fishbein and friends are in for a revelation when they team up with Kiki. With espionage in her blood and an overload of courage, Kiki leads this group of girls into the Shadow City, a former have for thieves, pirates, and all kinds of undesirables. But there is much more to Kiki strike than meets the eye.

This story gets you from the very begining and doesn't let you go...at all. Days later I am still sitting around thinking about the interesting mix of characters and how Kirsten Miller weaves them into this cohesive band of "sister." There are so many books out there that keep girls wondering what they're capable of, but Ms. Miller makes no bones about using her words to tell girls all over the world that they don't have to sit back and take it...whatever it is. Plenty of action, intrigue, and deception make this a book well worth the time invested for readers of any age. And don't be fooled, it's not just for girls. Boys, you can read it too...unless you're afraid!

    The Knot Fairy

I had the pleasure of meeting the author of the Knot Fairy and I can tell you that Bobbi Hinman puts all of her heart into her stories. The easy flow of her prose is charming and it easily enchants the children. The illustrations only add ot the already excellent story. With flair and a delightful sense of whimsy, I look forward to more Fairy books from this author.

"While I am not a teenager, I found myself sucked into "Leaving Paradise" from page one---each and every character added to the dynamic of story and she didn't waste a single word. So strong is her voice that the well-drawn depth of the characters took me back to my own youth and the level of emotional impact Simone Elkeles packs into her writing had me feeling for Maggie and cheering for Caleb. Ms. Elkeles is a writer to be watched and respected. I see a tremendously long and successful career for her."

When Kelly James meets hottie David, she has no idea how he will change her life. Caught up in the fact that he likes her, Kelly hacks into a government computer system and soon finds herself in custody. But things aren't always what they seem and Kelly is given a second chance--the chance of a lifetime. The kicker is, she's not sure she can handle it, or survive it.

With a cast of characters who are beyond likable, Shannon Greenland offers a series for young readers who enjoy in your face adventure. The plot is satisfying, the character development is solid, and the story is intriguing. An awesome debut for Ms. Greenland in the young adult market and readers of all ages will agree that MODEL SPY totally rocks!
