I am a SAHM of two wonderful kids. I am a Sunday School teacher. I love books, purses and shoes.

When I choose a book to read, I usually lean more toward entertainment for my brain (mind-candy, if you will). I usually don't go for books that are educational, autobiographies, or biographies. But of course there are exceptions if... more »

  • The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen
    • Rated 4 stars

I liked the way the author wrote this book. We, as the readers are supposed to imagine that Jane Austen wrote some final memoirs about a certain gentleman that she fell in love with. The memoirs were found in her house with a ruby ring. Much of the story is reflective of what happens in her novels. Misunderstandings, falling in love with someone who is secretly engaged, etc.
Some would say that they don't like the ending. But it has to end the way it did, considering how Jane Austen lived and died. I recommend for pure imagination.

  • Back to Life: A Trophy Wives Club Novel (Trophy Wives Club)
    • Rated 4 stars

Lindsay's husband, Ron died last year. Her friends are trying to get her to start dating again. She opens to her door one day to find her late husband's ex-wife on the doorstep as executer of the will. And finds out he had a son. Both women reveal secrets from their past that they have been dealing with for years.
Written in first person from both Lindsay's perspective as well as Jane's(the ex-wife)
I liked this book. Not as well as the first, because I didn't like Jane's character so much, but I thought it was a good read.

I absolutely loved this book. At first, I kept getting confused as to who the character are, but after making a quick reference not card. I was able to decipher who everyone was.
Heathcliff was a miserable person who wanted to make everyone else's life difficult. He took hostages and tricked people into doing his biddings. Despite how miserable he was to others, he was extremely passionate to his love, Cathy. The passion between the two is amazing.
    I highly recommend this novel.

I thought this was a pretty funny book. I love how she makes fun of the Bridezillas, but ends up being one herself. I recommend it.

Hated it! I guess this series wasn't for me at all.
Some people may like it, but I struggled through and was disappointed.

I read this book to see if I would like it better than the first. FAIL!
I just didn't enjoy this series at all. I don't understand all the hype.

I did not like this book at all. I read all the way through, hoping it would get as good as everyone was saying, but it just wasn't the kind of book I enjoy.

I loved this book. Ruth was a great character. I loved how she would always beat herself with her fan when she was nervous. She would always pull stuff out of her sleeve too. Love it.

I loved this book!! I did get VERY frustrated at one of the characters. She made me so mad, I wanted to jump in the book and shake her by the neck. I like it when books can evoke emotions like that.

I really liked this book! I love the author's sense of humor.
The main character, Hope, was always jumbling cliches and sayings. She was hilarious. The only thing that annoyed me, was the sister's timidity. I guess I have to understand where it comes from, but I grated on me sometimes.
    Recommend it highly
