When I choose a book to read, I usually lean more toward entertainment for my brain (mind-candy, if you will). I usually don't go for books that are educational, autobiographies, or biographies. But of course there are exceptions if... more »

    Thanks for the info. Our church is going through a tough time right now (low attendance=low offering=hard to pay the bills!) We're making major changes in the next couple of months, hoping we will not have to close.

    Hi Karen! I just signed up for Shelfari last week to try to get the word out about my novel (I see that you just joined too), and since you're in the "chick lit" group I thought I'd drop you a note. My book, “Perfect on Paper,” is about a single woman in San Francisco whose life is hardly perfect. Anyhow, I thought you might want to check it out. I know it's a bit crazy to contact you directly about it since I don’t know you, but I figured why not? I have to start somewhere to get word-of-mouth going outside of my own friends, and it’s obvious you like to read! 196 titles- wow!

    It is really cool. Perfect for bibliophiliacs. I can't figure out how to organize my shelf, though. I guess I was supposed to seperate which ones were read, reading, and planning as I went, instead of doing it all at once. I thought you would be able to organize them afterward. So all of them ended up in the same category. Oh well. Maybe someday I'll go back and redo it.
