First off, I am committed to Jesus Christ, and that sums up a whole lot about me, believe me! I do not know where the image of the dour Christian came from, but that is not me. God meant for us to have a joyful approach to life; for me it is an adventure (as long as the adventure begins sometime after noon :D)! I am a graduate student with a Bachelor's in English. I am currently pursuing a Master's in English with a secondary education teaching certificate. I also practice the martial arts, write poetry and fiction, and work with kids. I love to cook, travel, and try a variety of things. I especially love the outdoors and animals, though I can't seem to bring myself to go camping...:) I find discussions on theology, the sciences, of course books, and a wide variety of other topics absolutely engaging. Learning is a passion of mine, so I guess you could say I am an unapologetic dork :D I want to travel to all 50 states, as well as outside of the U.S., before I die. I also hope to go whitewater rafting, swimming with dolphins, earning at least a second degree black belt, and participating in an archaelogical dig before I keel over. (Hopefully, the Master's will help bring me the cash to do many of these things!) I have definite opinions on things, and I love to meet new people and make friends. That is a short synopsis.
