I'm an avid, nay voracious, reader and I count favourites ~ authors and books ~ from just about any genre going. I started reading mysteries years ago ~ mainly Agatha Christie in my teens ~ and moved to thrillers, like Alistair MacLean, Robert Ludlum and Helen MacInnes. My first "romance" novels were Mary Stewart's ~ and I still have them all.
Now romances are a core part of my collection ~ all kinds; Paranormal, Historical, Contemporary, Suspense. Oh yeah... not only do I read, but I re-read favourites ~ and these now number in the 1500+... I counted a year or so ago, but I know that I've added a few books since then.. but not sure that I want to know just HOW many I've got.
For the first time I've added my manga collection to my book totals ~ until now I had always kept them separate; but Hey! they had them here, so who'm I to argue?
To date I've got most of my books up ~ and yes, a lot of them may seem to be for my children but, although I got them from the elementary book fairs, they're actually for me... but I used them as an excuse. I love ancient history and I figure that exposing my kids to a lot of different types of books could only be a good thing ~ and you know what? They all read, so I must have done something right, eh?
As for the "Top 10".. uh, yeah.... I guess you could say that I've gone a little overboard ~ but the books there truly are my favourites!
And I'll be adding the books I have left to read on the "Reading" shelf.... Maybe that'll help me keep my bulging TBR a little more under control? Uh.. sure.
As for my "Wish List", it's exactly that ... many of the books that I want.
