I am, and always have been, a reader and while I like just about any genre out there, there aren't very many horror books on my keeper shelves; a few, sure, but they're definitely the exception. And yes, I do have keeper shelves for books... unfortunately for my poor, long-suffering husband Joe, collecting is another hobby. If I can collect books that I've loved and will re-read, then I get to combine two loves.
I've always thought that reading is one of the best things that anyone can learn ~ if you can read, you can learn just about anything else. Being able to read, IMO, is one of the very best things that a parent can teach their child(ren). Thankfully all four of mine ~ Stephen 25; Lisa 23½; Meagan 22 and Teresa 17 ~ are readers and well on the way to establishing their own keepers. « less
