Calling you after so long.. I am starting sword of truth series again.. believe it or not I am reading Wizard's first rule for the first time. Last time I started the series from second book till the end. Now that winter came and a month off from college it will be many books for me. Plus studies too.. Ah! And tell me how to add you in facebook?
Many things happened since we last talked but yes everything is looking good now. Hope everything is good with ya...And Jordan?? I thought it was of Terry Goodkind?
Hey! How is this new book "The Laws of Nine"? Just seen that you have read it.Ah! Hello!
I don't know why I didn't include "daughter of the forest" as a favorite. It begins a trilogy, and is wonderfully written! I know it's based on an Irish folk story. However, it is SO sad, and she suffers so much-from her abduction onward,... Maybe that's why. Your guess - good as mine? I loved the second book as there is something about the bad/good guy thing in Bran that is magnetic for me. Marillier's latest is great. It is good to see that writers can follow up with a great story after two previous trilogies. I will check out Passage & take a look at your shelf again. Happy reading & happy holidays!
That's cool. OK, I'll try one of her books. I'm re-reading Anne Bishop's Black Jewel's trilogy. There are things that I missed or didn't pay attention to the first few times, so it's a keeper. Romantic, dark, twisted, male/female roles reversed, etc.,...
Wow, it sounds like you should be joining the "Sookie-Fringe" group. I have to try at least one book by Ms. Harris. My sister is hooked on True Blood (TV spin off of the books).
Have you read any Tad Williams? If so, what did you think? I didn't see any on your shelf; I was surprised.
Thanks for the suggestions. Shadowbridge sounds pretty interesting.
Why do you suppose that so much fantasy is about wars and magical peoples and outcasts and individual characters who have unsuspected greatness inside them? It is because we all feel like little bits of lemon at the bottom of a glass, just hoping to rise up and save the day?? Just a thought...
Nice to see that someone else really enjoys Juliet Marillier and the original Dragonlance stuff. I've gotten hooked on all the Stephanie Meyer books. I'll probably stand in line to get my copy of "Breaking Dawn" when it comes out. I'm a junkie for sure.
Will you be my first friend? :)Matt
You're welcome. Not all the books available are read by James. I think 1-4 and 10. (Maybe 9 but I am not for sure about that.) 5-8 have been created by fans using a computer to read the files and record them, which can be found online.
You DO read a lot of fantasy. I will consider you my expert on the subject. I am glad to see that you're about to be addicted to the Song of Ice and Fire as is proper for a fantasy fan. Watch out for those new Weis and Hickman books though. They're not the same. So, hello.
Hey I see you have Raymond Feist's Magician on your to-read list - that is a great book! The first 4 books in that series are really good.
Hmm I got that mail...sorry these days I cant even find time to eat properly...so if its fine with ya we can continue this kind of talk for a few days...I will catch you online soon anyway...yeah about Agatha...pick any book by her and you will go on and on and on....see I have already finished another one..."Murder on tha Orient Express"....you will like her writing style...and about storylines Agatha is called the queen of crime...and her works also earned her the Britain's highest honor...Dame of the British Empire...I suggest you to read with this one only...."And Then There Were None"...its short and like I said touching....have a good read...
Nice to hear you after so many days...I hope you are doing fine...well see ya...
Hey, I was checking your shelf and see that you're a Marian Zimmer Bradley fan. If you had to pick three books (1 trilogy) of hers that you would recommend, which ones would they be? Sorry.
hi kg :) i read your review of Shadow of the Wind. I'm glad you enjoyed it! It sounds like one that I need to get to sooner than later. Oh my but my TBR pile is big :)) Have a great day Kabuki Girlwarmly, Chai
