Sarah Bird's books are always funny and real. This one brings you into several fascinating worlds, with memorable characters. I never knew I could care about flamenco dancing, but I do now.

Anything by Bill Fitzhugh is going to be smart and funny. This one included, plus it's about the shady music business. What could be better?

  • Winter's Bone: A Novel
    • Rated 5 stars

Harrowing and sometimes hard to read, but well worth it. This one haunts me, not only for the heart-wrenching story, but the vivid setting and lyrical writing.

I still can't believe he pulled this one off. But he sure did. Hilarious, and , as always, well-written.
