“This was the first time every hearing about this book, but it was really good and had me sitting on the edge about what was going to happen next. In this book you have a boy by the name of Kenny who is always in trouble and the family have no clue as to what they should do. This book has some racism in, so not only do the family have to deal with that but Kenny's behavior. They dad gets a great ideal by sending Kenny to Birmingham. They travel from Flint to Brimingham and when they arrive Kenny is so happy with the surrounding of the place. Kenny is warned by Grandma Sands about the whirlpool. He tries to get others to go along with him. He didn't listen and was almost taken under and was saved by his little brother. This book has family time, tragic, and people being rude. This book can teach students so much. It can teach about obey they people that warn you, and not being so mean. This book could really teach some students a lesson. I really enjoyed this book, so glad I was able to read it. ”
