Hi Julia, I did enjoy On Agate Hill, but I picked it up more due to the fact it was written by a favorite author of mine, Lee Smith. I am intersted in the Civil War era, but then again, I like most history. =)Thanks for the book recommendation; I will definately look that up! Happy reading!

So I have an ear infection. Yuck. But I got some medicine so hopefully it will get better soon... Have you ever read any Cherry Adair? I have read 5 of hers so far and in order, they are great. Hope school is going good for you.

hey, I am feeling much better, and especially since its the weekend now. I was wondering... what is the name of your friend who writes Inspirationals? Liz was asking about them, and I mentioned that you had a friend who wrote them, and we were going to check her out. Also... have you ever checked out google.books.com or books.google.com... something like that? Our first football game is tomorrow, and I am incredibly excited. Have a good "long" weekend. Love you and miss you--

Yeah, go to London. Ireland is less than an hour by air. I think you should plan that =-) And you can buy your Chadwick in just about any store. [I'm such an instigator!]

Hey Mrs. Justiss, I hope your first day of classes went ok. I have already caught a bug up here, since Sunday, I haven't been feeling all that great, but I guess I have been hanging in there. John is coming into Texas this weekend, so maybe you will get a chance to see him. Anyway, have a good rest of the week.

You might have trouble finding Chadwick on the US shelves, but Amazon.co.uk ships to the US. She's worth the postage!

How fun to stay at a farm B&B. One of my closest Irish friends runs a farmhouse B&B in the west. They raise cattle on about 200 acres.

I'd say if your last visit was 20 years ago, you really need to come back soon. Really!

Yes, I read two Jane Austen sequels. LETTERS FROM PEMBERLEY was actually my favorite even though the story was told in letters from Lizzie to her sister. - OLD FRIENDS AND NEW FANCIES was the 1st written in 1912 and it was good but for me lacked the more humorous aspects I associated with Lizzie and Mr. Darcy - plus it involved and tried to bring to gether all characters from all six book of Austen - Good but for me a slower read.

Julia- Thank you for your lovely note! Isn't historical fiction wonderful? I have been a fan of Penman's for years; Falls the Shadow is one of my favorite novels. I just started work on a Ph.D. program in English literature, so reserach fits naturally into my program of study. Also, I do all the research for my own stories; sometimes it's hard to stop researching and start writing!
It's a pleasure to meet you, and I enjoyed checking out your shelf. I see I'll have some serious book buying in my future! :)

Thanks for the friend link. You'll LOVE Chadwick. Run, don't walk to your nearest bookseller who stocks her. If you buy one book, try Shadows and Strongholds, or The Greatest Knight. That one is part of a series the author is working on currently and will hook you in. For some reason, I loved S&S the best so far.

When did you visit Ireland? Where are your friends located? You'll have to come back again one day...soon!

Do tell me what you think of Maureen Waller's books - I love them. Oh and if you read mine, I would love to know what you think of that too-the sequel comes out later this year.
I shall have to repay the compliment and visit your website too.

I have yet to read one of your books but I will have to look for them. I have finaly been required to take a foreign language. I chose French over Spanish because I'm just like that. Who wants to be practical. I am terrible at learning languages so if there are any pointers, please let me know.

    Hi Julia!

Seems there are a lot of McNaught fans in your friends, and I'm another!

My cp Michelle Styles is also writing historicals for HH/M&B. I find that while I write contempts, I LOVE a good historical for pure escape!

And btw, I love the cover on your avatar.
