Hey Julia,How goes it?Just started school this week and the body is exhausted but the mind is racing – overall it feels terrific to be back in the classroom. This summer my latest book was released – “Roam Italy: A Teacher and His Students Take the Ultimate Class Trip.” The book’s website is www.theclassroombook.com if you wanted to check things out.Possible tornado warnings in NJ this weekend so I best head for cover…---michael :)
greetings fellow SF'r. Nice selection of books. Found any San Francisco groups here?
great shelf, saw some titles to follow up on. take care
HEY WILL U BE MY FRIEND
Sorry about the lack of response, I just checked this for the first time in months.Guessing I already missed the group? :)
hi juliaiam.........ho do u do
Thanks for joining and for contributing. You have cool shelves--were you in grad school for Latin American politics? You also have When She Was White--have you read it yet? It's on my wish list--I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback.
Hi I found you because you're a member of Hispanic Genre. I've been trying to get a discussion going about Latin American/Hispanic/Latino(a) literature. I'm a member of three groups devoted to the genre (I am the creator/admin of one) but I can't seem to get a discussion going! Would you like to join my group and maybe if we have some more members all in one place we can get some movement? My group is called Latin American/Latin Caribbean. Artemis
hey Julie! I joined :0) --Nick
Hey, Julia! Thanks for the invite. Will be checking out the group. Good luck with your move and selling your books!Kato.
you can not keep the new Boortz book from me forever!I will take your copy and read it! The truth shall be known and it shall be right!
Hi Jules,Yes I have Autobiography of a Yogi, read and love it. I could send it your way if you want it again. I think the worship bit, like what you saw in the video is a bit much for anyone but if you'd like to read some of his story he seems to be pretty amazing but hey who knows what the truth is but I'd like to believe we can always be more than we are and that miracles are possible. Yes I do get pissed off when people borrow things and don't return things. It hasn't happened to as much with books but I lost a whole cool hat collections in the 80's to my crazy old drag queen girls. There's not much worse than a gay boy making off with one of my favorite vintage hats but I think I was silly for lending them out in the first place. Easy come, easy go.Bye, love MK
Julia, Okay I went back and looked at your full list of books and I can not belive how many of the same books we have read (HMMM)! You even like Lady Day, could this mean your a blues fan like me. By the way great taste with my favs Calvin and Hobbs. I wonder if you have read any Bloom County, I was reading some when I crossed the desert in a wild state to live with your parents when you were still steaming new.MK
Hi Jules,I should have figured with working at the book store you'd be into reading. I see some mytphysical titles in your books. I'll have to check some of them out. Maybe you'd be interested in some of mine. Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman was great and I have some real good books on Syi Babba if your interested I'd send then. I read The Celestrial Prophet and some good one on meditation, ascention and light work. I know it all sounds odd but it very peaceful reading and works well with my Yoga. I'm going back to your book list to get some more reading ideas. Thanks, MK
