“This is one of my all time favorite books. I fell in the love with the "Anne" series as a little girl. Although I can read them all time and time again, this is the only one of the lot that truly captures my emotions every time.

“This is one of my all time favorite books. I fell in the love with the "Anne" series as a little girl. Although I can read them all time and time again, this is the only one of the lot that truly captures my emotions every time.

I ljust ove Rilla's character and the coming of age story of which she is a part. But, it isn't just the character of Rilla that captures the reader's heart - all of her silblings and friends have a relatablity too.

Another aspect of this story is the factor of WWI. It is so very interesting to read about this time period in history that doesn't get a lot of notice. It is also unique because it is told from the women's perspective. As in all her books, the women in this one are the strong, spunky kind I came to expect, but still love.

I can't say enough, I LOVE this book! It is such a heart-warming and heart-wrenching story. You don't even HAVE to know "Anne" to appreciate it. ”

“One of my favorite Picoult stories. Although, I love her unique approach which shows a singular story line through the eyes of each character, it is sometimes more effective than others. In this novel, it really works. She seems to capture the voice of Jacob perfectly. I loved this book”
