“This profoundly spiritual book successfully melds ancient indigenous beliefs with modern reason and reflects a wisdom that is far more soul-based than many of the "new age" how-to books I've read.

The title may put off anyone who isn't deeply interested in the evolutionary process of the human soul or in active healing; however, it contains many useful tips that can help us live a more positive, peaceful life no matter what our external circumstance are.

There is an excellent preface which, with gentle guidance, details how to use the book and then four main sections on healing principles, how to learn from animals and plants, the shamanic journey and afinal section that gives simple and comforting ceremonies/rituals to help guide us towards the Divine Light in this world that is ever more dark and scary.

The only "complaint" I have (and I've been told to write this by my cat, Shadow)is that the author talks a lot more about dogs than he does about cats, but the main thrust of the book is so clearly coming from a place of Spirit rather than ego (a problem I often find in many self-help books) that Shadow agreed the book deserves a full 5*s!

Seriously, though, this book helped heal some broken parts of my soul and I feel that I've been given a glimpse of how to more easily accept what is, as it is. Thank you.”

“In A MATTER OF PROPRIETY AND PARASITES (DARK MATTERS Book 2), we take up Lady Lily d’Bulier’s story and the fight against demons in a Victorian England that is dark, dangerous and dashing.

Ms Robyns’ writing style is maturing wonderfully – there is the same imaginative world building, fast pace and character development that we saw in Book 1 of this seriesA Matter of Circumstance and Celludrones.

In addition, there is a confidence in the style of this book that shows up as a thrilling (and often funny!) tension between the characters, a risky battle to save the world from the rising demons and a final scene that had me holding my breath and turning the pages as fast as I could!

Even if you haven’t read Book 1, this book is an excellent read as it has enough background information for a new reader to follow the story and get to know the characters. For someone who’s read the first book, there’s much more new stuff to read as well! Lily grows up and grows bold, Lord Greyston Adair makes a difficult choice about Lily and the delicious Kelan McAllister … well. I can’t tell what he does because that will give away too much of the plot.

Add to all of this an exciting cover and a well-formatted, well-edited book and this is another great read from someone who is fast becoming a favourite romance author.”
