I am impressed with the list you've logged thus far - I will use it! I, however, must think in 'author' category only. It is, however, the way I read. ( but for book club assignments.)

    Hi,

Re the question about groups/blogs you posted on the Librarians & Editors group. This isn't the forum for that question so I am deleting that posting.

I think you'll find the answers if you post to Shelfari Questions - http://www.shelfari.com/groups/15217/about

    Thanks!

    Lord Manleigh says

    Dear Miss Shelf,

Mrs. D has informed me of your renewed interest in joining Anglophiles Anonymous, and flipping through my records, I do find a record of our correspondence. Your shelf is, if I may say so, all it should be, and we'd be very happy to have you. We're just beginning to read "Daniel Deronda" in serial as part of our ongoing Victorian Summer Serial Read tradition - it promises to be a memorable reading experience. Do you solemnly swear not to Lurk, and what ridiculously British alias would you care to go by at Anglophiles Anonymous (no literary names, now!)?

    Yours sincerely,

    M.

    judibea S-
Thanks for the kind words. I'm a very eclectic reader so I'm not sure how valuable my lists will be. I do aim to insure that I read a reasonable number of YA literature but Twilight might weaken my resolve. I'm finding it painful! The things I do for our students!

I see myself as Elizabeth Bennet. She was a voracious reader who liked to peruse great literay works while she walked in the grove, sat in her window seat, or waited for the next family crisis. I did not inherit an estate but I eventually gained one!

My dear, we'd love to have you, but we don't name ourselves after literary characters (Mrs. Danvers being the exception; I'm afraid she came with the estate when I inherited) -- how about another?

    Dear Madame:

I have informed Lord Manleigh of your interest in joining his salon, Anglophiles Anonymous. He has examined your shelf quite appovingly. He begs me to inquire whether you solemnly swear not be a dreaded Lurker, and wonders what ridiculously British name you wish to be known by in the group.

    Yr svt.,
