hmmm...its probably time I actually wrote something up here...lets see, a bit about me - I'm a (semi-reluctant) software engineer from NYC, but I enjoy working with food much more; being a chef just doesn't pay as well =) But other than cooking, may other main passion is reading.
My reading habits are somewhat...eclectic =) I'm a big fan of fantasy fiction (especially series), as well as memoirs, sci-fi, history, horror, humor, biographies, graphic novels, historical fiction, mysteries...pretty much everything except romance, actually. Or cookbooks and self-help books, for that matter. For me, it's the stories that do it - I'm a story junkie, and the bigger and bolder the better!
I generally read about 2 or 3 books at a time (well, not simultaneously, more like one book for work, one in the living room, one on the nightstand, that kind of thing), and polish off at least two books a week...there'd be a lot more books on my shelf if it wasn't for the fact that many of the books that I read I've read more than once, some every year. As for my books, I own probably half...all of the books on my shelf I either have read, or own but haven't read yet - The ones with opinions I've read, the ones without not yet.
Currently Reading -
I Am America (And So Can You!)
by Stephen Colbert
Rendezvous with Rama
by Arthur C Clarke
The Dresden Files 1: Storm Front
by Jim Butcher
PS- Feel free to leave me notes asking for recommendations and whatnot, but don't worry if you don't hear back from me right away, I'm really slow on replies on these kinds of things ;)
Happy reading, and have fun!
