“One of the texts we studied in high school, and certainly not one of my favourites.
Ondaatje's style is pleasant enough, and the themes the book examines are interesting, however I couldn't help but find the plot and the main characters (Hana and the Patient) to be quite dull. I found myself longing for the book to be entirely about Kip or Caravaggio, who were much more interesting.”
