Very enjoyable...teared up a couple times...looking forward to the next book if there is one (and I think there will be)

A bit slow at the beginning, but the story picked up after 100 pages...the mother frustrated me to no end, but the time period was interesting and Austen seemed to capture the feeling of the time perfectly.

Finally completed listening...although 10 disks, it seemed like 20...if you enjoy non-fiction and/or Nazi/WorldWarII based books then you will enjoy this one. Story of the American ambassador to Germany, William Dodd; how he came to be there, his family, etc.. with all their foibles. Really delves into Hitler and his power...well-done book, but not my choice of read/listen (book group choice). I am giving it 4 stars because it is well researched and well-written.

Interesting third book in the Maisie Dobbs series. Will definitely continue listening to this mystery series which takes place in post-WW1 England and France.

Enjoyable Fannie Flagg novel of a small town in Alabama that is changed with the help of a little bird and a little girl. Perfect December read/listen.

#23 in the Agatha Raisin series was enjoyable. The ending was slightly different from the other books and I like that it was not exactly the same formula...Agatha is still her insecure, unrelenting self, but when the plot involves many of the other characters it remains more interesting.

Very enjoyable first book of a new cooking + mystery series. Will read the second book in the near future. Interesting characters; enough twists and turns to be fun, but not outlandish...well-done.

How utterly frustrating and boring to me. I could not stand the repetition of the characters words, "My mother was a fish" or "It turned out swell" would be repeated three to eight times...argh...

    Not enjoyable at all.
