I love reading & have since I was a child. I would sit outside on a beautiful summer day and devour the Little House books, Narnia, The Black Stallion. In fact, even though I'm over 40, my favourite book is The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. It is THE BOOK that made me love reading - it took me somewhere else.
I read everything - from... more »

I would like to rate this as 'okay'. I didn't dislike it but I didn't really like it either. I'm glad I got it as a Kindle freebie

Thomas Hardy's books are so good but so depressing

I would like to give this a 'it was just okay' rating somewhere between I didn't like it and I liked it. There was some cuteness to it but that's all really. I'm glad it was a freebie

I enjoyed this book - it was sexy and fun. However, I never understood why Adrian got so annoyed by the fact Gillian never told him she could sing. It seems like such a stupid thing to get angry about. I can understand his reaction to the stuff about his father in light of what happened to both Erin and Elise. Gillian's issue with moving to Seattle over Bainbridge where her friends lived was silly to me. According to the book it took about 30 minutes to get from one place to the other - a lot of people commute much farther than that to work every day.

I thought the stories were all okay but I was disappointed in the Victoria Dahl one for a couple reasons. First, I didn't like how Eric didn't immediately correct Beth's misunderstanding that he wasn't Jamie. That isn't difficult to do. Also, I was disappointed the story didn't really end - it was a set up for an upcoming novel. In most cases, it would have been part of that novel.

This book wasn't as wild and wanton as expected.

This book was okay but I didn't like how Lathan used the Keira Knightly/Matthew MacFadyen movie as the basis of the book. While I saw the film and enjoyed it, it was not true to the movie, especially regarding Mr. Darcy's second proposal. If an author is offering a 'sequel' to a classic piece of literature, she should use the original work. Mr. Darcy did not propose to Elizabeth at sunrise - he proposed to her again as they were out walking with Bingley and Jane in front and Kitty leaving to visit Maria Lucas.

Once again, there appear to be a lot of inconsistencies and errors in this book that are distracting to me. Also, the scenario of 3 male cousins who all served in the military is very reminiscent of the Nauti series.

I was a little disappointed with the book. It seemed much slower in pace than others I've read.

There wasn't really anything to this. It was EXTREMELY short which made me glad I got it as a freebie on my Kindle
