I AM A BOOK ADDICT...There I've said it. I buy and buy books to the point where, occasionally (often) I buy the same book twice. I guess there are far worse addictions...

Happy Reading!

How do you like the Philippa Gregory? She's been recommended to me, but I'm thinking she is more of a romance writer than a literary one. What do you think?

Why don't you keep a wish list on here? My wish list has like a million titles on it and would make Christmas Shopping for books fairly easy! But you! NOTHING!

Cryptic message had something to do with a text like, five years ago. The walrus is a character in one of the books we're about to put out. He should go on sale Spring 2010. I just think he's so cute. He's sort of gloomy, but in a cute way. You can just hear him go "Humph" with those big lips flying and the enormous weight of him landing on that rock there. I love him!

Mom - Let's read Phillipa Gregory's new series together. The first one is called The White Queen and it's about the royal family BEFORE the Tudors.

Mom - stop sending cryptic text messages and then not answering me when I try to contact you to decode.

Hi, Joli, I haven't been on this site for ages. I'm finally getting caught up. I love all your favorites; there are only 2 that I have not read.

Thanks so much for the friend invite! We definitely seem to have tried out many of the same books and sooo funny that we joined on the same day. Our Shelfari anniversary!! I'm enjoying purusing your shelf although I'll admit that I see some divergence in our tastes . . .Cold Mountain was a book I couldn't finish, which is so rare for me. So nice to "meet" you though :). I can really relate to the book addiction; I too buy way more than my share.

Hi Joli...How is Pride and Prejudice going? I just watched the mini-series from A&E and loved it. I feel a little bit of shame in never having read the book. I will, one of these days....

How did you like 'Daughter of Fortune'? Rory Gilmore Book Club is thinking of reading 'Eva Luna' next by the same author. (Isabel Allende) Thinking about reading 'Daughter of Fortune' too. Do you have it?

I agree as well. I was really disappointed! The version with Root was much better.

I just went through your shelf and noticed your book ratings.. I agree with you on a lot of them and have added a couple of your top-rated books to my TBR list. You are careful not to give out too many five-star ratings, so when you do, I pay attention. I love your bookshelf!

Is it OK that I added you as a friend? I love your books from top 10 list, so I know we have some things in common. I'm married for 32 yrs, 2 grown kids, and work in a high school.

    Hi Joli,
Wonderful to hear from you. My daughter is doing very well. She loves it and has adapted beautifully. I am so proud of her. She has been home twice, once was a total surprise! A friend of mine and I are going to see her next weekend. School...is wonderful. Love it. I have awesome students this year. I started a blog for my classes to talk with me about what they are reading. They seem to like it and are responding well. The only thing is that they tend to want to write in "teen text language" and it is too crazy to read. They are getting better at writing without the cute little symbols and such. You will have to check it out...http://fletcherreads.blogspot.com/

Hope to hear from you soon. How is your school year going? Anything exciting going on? What are you reading?
I have picked up Eat Pray Love...it is an awesome book. Typically not one I would pick up but am sure glad that I did. It is a book I can't wait to get back to.

    talk to you soon
