I'm a Chicagoan, a lawyer, and a self-admitted "book freak." I have been addicted to reading and books since I was a child. To paraphrase John Steinbeck, "When I was very young and the urge to read all day was upon me, I was assured by mature people that maturity would cure this itch. When years described me as mature, the prescribed remedy was middle age.
