I have always been a seeker. I once read a book by Francois Fenelon called “The Seeking Heart“. That is what I feel that I have always had. Ever since an early age I was always seeking, craving for fulfillment in external activities and driven to succeed by a need to feel worthy. My... more »

Hi John, just joined your group and read your profile 'testimony' - wow, hadn't thought of doing that. Love your bookshelf - I've read a few of those (or my husband has) and love where you're at with God. I guess you need to be well read as a Pastor! Presently reading Bill Johnson and love where God is taking us in the supernatural realm - after all these years as a Christian, knowing the gospel needs to be as Jesus lived it. Take a look at my bookshelf - if you want a confirmation or refreshing of God's love in an unconventional way then Ted Dekker's 'Circle Trilogy' is a must. Captivating and Wild at Heart are the books that radically changed our marriage and the way we parent our boys. Looking at 'Always Enough' on your shelf, I think you'd enjoy Viv Grigg's 'Companion to the Poor' and his latest 'Spirit of Christ and the Postmodern Church' which I believe should be compulsory reading for all Pastors (how many times have you heard THAT?). What I am saying is he really knows his stuff as a missionary, leadership trainer, and deep thinker. His website is Urban Leadership Foundation: www.urbanleaders.org (from where you can order the books)

stumbled, thru grace no doubt, your testimony and library today. I was blessed by both, hearing what God has done in your life was fresh air on a Monday. Keep seeking and you will keep finding. Blessings to you and yours ("yours" used loosely) Gregornotthemonk

    Hi John
Great thought about adding my book, in a couple weeks my book becomes available on Amazon, at that point I can add it to my shelf which I intend to do. But lulu.com is the best place to get it right now, people are laughing their way through it. Very funny book, of course I am biased. Let me know your thoughts if you get a chance to read it.
    Thanks

Thanks for accepting my offer of friendship. I'm intrigued by your comments about Francois Fenelon. I love his book, "Let Go." I've written a book series aimed specifically at spiritual seekers that you might enjoy. "How Do You Know He’s Real: Celebrity Reflections on True Life Experiences with God" contains 34 real-life stories by celebrities who know God is real because of their personal relationships with Him.

"How Do You Know He’s Real: God Unplugged," the second book in the series is a collection of profound real-life journeys and dramatic encounters with the living God by young athletes and musicians. Being famous doesn’t make their lives perfect; these celebrities still struggle with the same issues that most young people deal with... insecurity, anger, peer pressure, addiction and self-esteem.

You can read excerpts and see the lisdt of participants on my website, www.amyhagberg.com.

Looking forward to getting to know you!

What an awesome story of God's love and grace. I am so glad to be able to meet you like this. My family visited Gibraltar this summer and I wish I had known about your church.
