  3. A Recipe for Disaster

John Henry edited the summary of A Recipe for Disaster Tuesday, June 19, 2012.

    • Set timer to Ireland in the mid-sixties. Take one Northern Protestant boy and one Southern Catholic girl. Bring together, melt hearts, add love affection and lots of humour.

Throw on plenty of cold water and place in an icy atmosphere. Remove and combine the basic ingredients in the Church of the Holy Ghost, London. Add spice and leave to marinate.

Return ingredients to a hot area of Northern Ireland, stir in sectarian violence and bigotry and sprinkle liberally with tears of joy and tears of sorrow.

Shake ingredients thoroughly, place in cauldron, and turn up heat. When almost burnt move to a cooler area in Dublin. Fold in two children and allow to mature, add wine, in fact add too much wine.

      Try to avoid ingredients separating.
