---My typo annoyed the crap out of me and I didn't want you or anyone else to think that was some sort of new pop culture term for tranny...
OK, that's fair. I never thought of it until you mentioned it, but yes, his writing can become long winded. I'm a little more than half way through and getting kind of antsy to finish. Hopefully by summers end. :/
You're absolutely right though, his character development is fantastic. I never have to go back and say who the hell is this again? There are so many integral characters in the story as well, he almost has to give them all 'life' for it to work. I couldn't even tell you which character is my favorite. I feel like I relate to Larry Underwood the most. Oddly enough as I am a felmale... haha. I just "get him".
This is only the second King novel I have ever read. First being 'Different Seasons' about ten years ago. I love the movie "Stand By Me" and found out it was based on "The Body" so I read it. It's funny, I remember loving the whole book. I can't believe it's taken me this long to read another.
'Salems Lot' may be next. We'll see. Any recommendations?
Oh and by the way... Lamb IS turning out to be...excuse me... Fudgin' Fantastic (*only she didn't say Fudge...)
It is quite possibly the funniest book I have ever read. It is raunchy at times but hysterically so. I can see where some may find it offensive. Luckily, I'm not one of those people. I'm open minded and enjoy a great story. That's what it is...a story.
I've already picked up another of his books and am looking forward to it.
Hey Joshua... I'm reading "The Stand" right now. I'm about halfway through. I noticed you gave it a three.... is there something in the latter half of the story that sours it a bit? I am loving it so far and it's well on it's way to being a favorite. I looked at some others we have in common. You're a tough critic. ;)
I haven't gotten to Dexter yet. I just moved and am lucky if I get a few pages in a day. I'm also reading "Lamb" by Christopher Moore. I've owned the book for over a year and basically got sick of people saying "oh my God, wasn't it the best?..."
we'll see... so far so good.
And quite a few more now that I've perused your shelves.
Hi Joshua...Thanks for responding to my Dexter inquiry. (months ago... :P...)
I love the show. Will the books give me the same warm and fuzzies? lol

thanks for the suggestion :) I put it on my list! I have a friend that loves Chuck P and has recommended almost all his books
