THEY SAY:
Jim Palmer is author of "Divine Nobodies: Shedding Religion to Find God (and the unlikely people who help you)". His next book, 'Wide Open Spaces: Beyond Paint-by-Number Christianity', will be out in October, 2007. He is founder of the Pilgrimage Project, an initiative encouraging the freedom to imagine, dialogue, live, and express new possibilities for being an authentic Christian. His background includes inner-city service and international human rights work. He has an M.Div. from Trinity Divinity School in Chicago. He and his wife, Pam, and daughter, Jessica, live in Nashville.**
I SAY:
Four-way stops stress me out. Would like to visit every National Park. Like the Jim Rome sports radio show. OCD and too self-conscious. Consistently lose to my 7-year-old daughter in Sorry. Will probably die from artificial sweetner. Tried yoga once and hurt myself. Was a Bulls fanatic during the MJ era. Hate roller coasters, ferris wheels. Wish more people knew about IJM (ijm.org). Biggest mistake: confusing religion/"church" with God. Enjoy people watching in malls and airports. Love the public library and Vinny's pizza. Deceive myself by eating "low fat" ice cream. Enjoy hanging out with neighbors. have Touretts. A sucker for tear-jerker movies. have a dog named Jack.
