Okay, thanks. Much appreciated. I hope you like reading Smoking on Mount Rushmore. I'm not as used to using Shelfari as I am at Goodreads. I like the bookshelf concept here at Shelfari. I guess that is why it's called that. Feel free to mark my novels if you enjoy reading that longer format.

Jaret,I have decided to stay with this group.It has been serving a useful function for me,cataloguing my reads by small sort of mini reviews.So I will stay on1.I think I will be leaving my UF group,as i barely read this genre now,and they spend far too much time onquizzesetc,so that it is hard to find what people have actually read!.I like groups that have a purpose and stick to it.So I am still here.Thanks for listening to my concerns :)

Hi Jaret! Hope you are doing well.I was just wondering about the Ursula's Tracker group.We are very small,and apart from you ,not many people are very active.Lots of us are on the 12x12 group and track books there,so I am wondering whether to continue with the group.My husband is getting increasingly irritated by the constantly increasing time I spend on my shelfari groups.Dont know how many meals I have burned recently! lol.I got into a lot of challenges this year,and it took a LOT of time tracking and adding to my various groups and challenges.Its only since I finished most of the challenges that I see just how much time I have been spending on shelfari.It has crept up from 1,to 2,to as much as 4 hours a day,and my husband has become VERY resentful and unhappy about itHe is a nonreader,so has no sympathy.So I am going to have to cut down on some of my groups,particularly tracker groups which somehow proliferated as I got involved with a variety of challenges - Birth of a Reader,Big Read,12x12,Urban Fantasy monthly challenge,Mystery & Suspense monthly group read,AOTM,AOTW,and so many others.So I have to rationalise my groups.I have already left one group,and will be leaving another,since my challenge there has finished,but I am in a dilemma about my smaller groups.The Ursula's Tracker,and Forever Summer Reading are a case in point.One or both will have to go.Not to be bigheaded,I am aware that with my monthly thread of reviews,probably I represent about half or more of the posts for Ursula's tracker group,and if I left,it would be in the doldrums.If others were to make a commitment,though,I would continue on,but perhaps make more of an effort to answer peoples posts with comments etc.What is your opinion? Is the group worth continuing with.I must confess that only you make even an effort to keep in contact.I myself have been below par for about half the year because of my eyes, so I have rather neglected the group.Though it is nominally Ursula's group,its a well known fact that she starts groups continually,then others have to take over,as all she does is post her latest reads by cut and paste to dozens of groups,but has little other imput! lol.Our Ursula just loves setting up new groups every few months.the latest is the Buddy Reads group.
So what do you think? Do we continue with the group,perhaps utilising the Chatterbox Corner and perhaps a quiz,while making major efforts to get more involved in each others threads?.I hate to see groups decline,and if several people were involved,I would do my utmost to make it all go with a bang.So what is your opinion? And what about Kris? Should we air the topic on the group.or just try to beef everything up?
