When was your hair blue? Have you gone through a rainbow of hair colours or is this just your second change? If I came home with green hair I can assure you I wouldn't have a home to come back to anymore. My folks with disown me. We're from a uptight community of people who think drab (grey, beige &whatever other funereal colours you can think of) is fabulous. And that's only their clothes. Hair, they say, is god-given and should not be trifled with (puh-lease!!). So, green is out of the question. The white streaks alone was too much for them to handle. Can you imagine the reaction to green highlights (I'm not even thinking of going all green)?

But...it's....eh? Wha...? I'm all for going green. But that's in the ecological sense. Why the sudden jump to green tresses? **Aside: (I always wanted teal green streaks myself. Too fishy, though, especially with my jet black hair. I have had white ones, however. My "Rogue" phase. YECH!)**

Is your hair actually green now? Or am I hallucinating? **aside: Wouldn't be the first time**

All of those are important recommendations. Thank you J.H. Have you ever compared Huxley's prognostications vs. Orwell's?...A nice excercise....try it! And Blood-of-God - give my befuddled young Republic another fifteen years. We're on our way!

Ah, not too cheeky at all. In fact, most people I know ask me that just to amuse themselves, so that they can watch me whither and turn into dust when I say out loud (and in my head, over and over again) just how old I really am. Turned 22 in June. Not too happy about it but, as I keep saying, I was an old soul at 10, so 22 isn't all that bad (yeah right).

Unfortunately it is yet another book of paranormal fiction. And you know what...that's more addictive than any book that's gets you to turn those waterworks on cos when real life has you bored out of your mind, nothing else is more entertaining. And, trust me when I say, I'm more than bored out of my mind!!! Think I'm going to take up a creative writing class, just to keep me busy, until I get myself a job.

Hey, guess what...that series turned out to be a bit depressing so I gave up after book two. Too many people dying. I mean, I'm a bit of a morbid person and I like my share of gore but this was...oh well, guess I'm back to the land of the living. And glad of it, if I must say so myself.

**sighs & shakes her head miserably** How melodramatic am I?!!! Maybe I should consider going back to the stage. **grins sheepishly** That's all you'll get out of me for now, as you may have guessed from my previous note. I'll be seeing ya! Take care. Ciao.

The sighing is me, I suppose; there's no getting rid of it. And there's not a cheery thought or any feeling left for spritely conversation left in me at the moment. So, for as long as I'm reading this Dante Valentine series, a leech on the little happiness I have that's making me cry like a baby, I shall have to bid you adieu. Until the end of it, that is. Au revoir, mon amie.

It's like you're flicking ideas off the top of my head!!! I actually have plans drawn out to change one of the bedrooms, in whatever house I buy (hopefully) in the future, into a chintzy mahogany-ish library (No children allowed, of course. They tend to turn into little nightmares in any orderly place, especially if there are books to be ripped apart or dropped. ARGH!) No slidey ladder for me though. Real estate prices are at an all time high (oh god, I sound like my dad) **sighs dramatically**. There aren't any of those large houses to be had, unfortunately. And anyway, I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to make my money. My plan is to work like a doggie-dog in advertising (that's what I majored in**aside: WHY GOD,WHY??!!!) till I'm forty. Then retire and use all the money I've made to buy a chain of bookstores. Only...I'd rather just own a nice little musty place that acquires and sells old books **sighs wistfully** (ok, maybe I'm sighing a little too much).

**grins** Clearly! I own only about 300 to 350-odd books; ones I can actually hold in my hands and sniff at (ah, one of my pet peeves - I love the fragrance that comes off of books, especially old ones). The rest are all e-books and, like I was telling Alexandria (who I believe is on your friends list as well), feel free to pick and choose. If I have the e-book you want, I'll send it across as quickly as my slow-moving broadband will let me**snickers**.
Now, on to the problem of acquisition. Usually, I can't find the books I want 'cause they never make it past our borders, let alone make it into my city. Therefore, I have to make alternate arrangements for most of them. Like, for instance, asking a couple of my biblio-fiends in the US to go to the nearest Barnes & Noble to hunt it down and courier it to me (which is a dastardly lengthy process), or simply look for the e-book version (and ruin my eyes, with their newly 20/20 vision, reading it on the comp). **sighs and shakes her head** Neither is a very appealing option to me since I have this driving need to own any book I happen to like. So as I said before, and will say again and again, as often as it takes to communicate my unfortunate **sniffs** situation, you're lucky!!! **breaks off and bawls like a baby**

Hiya, just dropping by to say that you have a really great shelf. We seem to have quite a few books in common although, I've noticed (and you're lucky), you've managed to keep away from most of the paranormal fiction that is now (frighteningly) ruling my own shelf. But...only three books on your wishlist? You can find whatever else you're usually looking for? **sighs wistfully** Like I said **sniffs** really lucky!!!
