I'm an avid reader who has pretty eclectic tastes. I love mysteries most of all. A good majority of my friends are readers too and I am so glad I married a fellow bibliophile. (We quite often have our own little read-a-thons!) The only thing that's almost as fun as reading is buying books and talking about them with friends.

Im still working on my last trip through a library sale. An estate dealer friend has several boxes of 1940's, 50's & 60's mysteries waiting for me to pick up, which should keep my nose out of trouble.

I enjoyed Let Them Eat Cake by Sandra Byrd. I just finished reading the 3rd book in the series. I really liked the characters and being from Seattle I really loved the setting!

The first one was called a garden spell. It was good. It is a newer series and there is another out after the sugar queen. I really recommend reading them in order.

Thanks for the invite. Let me know how you like The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. It was one of my favorites by her. I have her new one on my list to be read too.

Messed that one up and hit the wrong button. Didn't even get time to run the spell check, but anyway I intending to ask you to drop over and leave a comment. It isn't necessary to have read the book. I posted an outline of SINS OF THE FATHERS, which is a mystery trying not to give the plot away. It is an experiment, which none of us have done before. "Appalachian and Kentucky Authors," I knew I'd left our a letter.

Dear Jenn: Bibliophiles are great people. Authors really like them. I was just at a book convention in Boston this morning working a table for a group called Sisters in Crime. I am an official sister. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING came out in April, and you might have an interest in it. The story revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother's death in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother's death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college in Boston. Now an archaeologist, she is recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to know who or what is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As a loyal Catholic, she is scared that what she finds may have devastating consequences for her faith. There is an awesome YouTube book trailer well worth watching to give you an idea of the power of the book. If you get the chance, I hope you'll take the time to watch it and let me know your feelings. Thanks. Peter
