“this is her second novel that I read.. her books are so thought provoking and I love how her characters develop... I remember when I was in eighth grade these 3 jocks used to follow me after lunch and would call me "chink, chink".. even though at that time I didin't even know the meaning of the word, I knew it wasn't meant to compliment me...haahaha... but even at my age now (early 40's) I still remember those days so vividly...bullying has existed forever... we need to teach our kids to respect and embrace the differences in people... so it doesn't lead to wars, big or small. Unlike her other book I read (sister's keeper) I figured the ending early on and knew what was to come...but still an important issue we all need to think and talk about...”
