I live with my husband and two sons (John, 10 and Justin, 5) in a Northern VA suburb of Washington, DC. My house is overflowing with books..I love to read almost everything, minus those trashy romance novels. You can also check out my book blog at: http://www.jennsbookshelves.com.

Hey, Jenn! I was wondering what book has really captured you so far in 2010? For me, it would be The Things That Keep Us Here by Carla Buckley.

Can you tell me about the Glass Castle? Not come across this one... Many of the others are familiar...

The Left Behind Series really had me.. but that was a few years ago now.

What are you reading at the moment?

    Hi Jen,

I am an admin on a group here on Shelfari called Play Book Tag. Each month we choose one of the top 200 tags on Shelfari and everyone reads a book from that tag. The reason I'm writing to you now is in hopes that maybe some of your members could give us a hand.

Our tag for May is SUSPENSE. I know you run the very large Suspense group here on Shelfari, and I thought it would be so neat if some of your members could come over and recommend their favorites. We have a thread called May Tag (Suspense): Share your Reading Plans and Suggestions, and I was thinking maybe some of your members could help my members identify some good reads.

I would never want to post this on your group without permission - - and the objective isn't to advertise Play Book Tag. I was just thinking it would be neat to get some advice from some suspense fans/experts!!

If it doesn't seem to make sense to you, please just ignore this message.

    best, Anita

Hello Dear Friend! My new suspense thriller "The Newton Prophecies" is now available for purchase on Amazon.com and I was hoping you might help spread the word about my book by adding it to your Wish, Plan to Read, or Read List. And if you haven't already, please check out the excerpt from the novel as well as other short tales available at www.keithkatsikas.com. You can also LOOK INSIDE the book at Amazon.com. Thank you so much for your continued support! =)

Some of you have expressed interest in being able to post pics of Halloween costumes and such. Well, Katie, Diamondgirl, got the idea of starting up a Yahoo group for the Chiller Shelfari group. We could use it for things like posting possible new avatars that group members could vote on and for voting on monthly authors and such, since that's something we can't really do very easily here on Shelfari.

If you're interested in getting an invite to the new Yahoo group, please send Diamondgirl a private note with your e-mail address.

Don't worry, the Shelfari group isn't going anywhere, we just figured this would be an easier way to do some more things with the group.
