Who am I? Maybe the best answer is that I’m learning who Jesus is and how to be more like him. I came into the world on the heels of two generations of fundamentalist preachers. Fundamentalism in my experience valued their version of truth very highly while treating the people around them very poorly. I don’t claim to have everything figured out, but what I do know is that church should look less like a country club and more like the new kingdom Jesus talked about so much. Much of what I am thinking about is how to better understand God’s kingdom, and live out his kingdom with my family and in our town in a way that actually looks more like the nonfiction Jesus the Bible talks about.
