This list of books is NOT all inclusive. It s only the ones I currently have in my possession, can remember owning at one time (I give a lot of books away to charities, libraries and friends, etc.) or have borrowed from the local library. Until approximately 2007 when I retired, I purchased every book I read. It was not at all uncommon to spend $100-200 a month on new books. In 2007, in order to save money (new hardcover books were approaching $25-30 a piece) I transitioned to borrowing library books. A while back I discovered e-books and have roughly 300 books in my iBooks/Kindle apps on my iPad. Every once in awhile I will actually purchase a book, one that I want to own and display in one of my libraries (almost always a Marine Corps book), but nowadays, that is rare. Not listed are countless thousands of books that I ve read since childhood that I simply cannot remember. Since learning to read I have read 2-3 full sized books a week, every week for over four decades. With rare exceptions (i.e.: Tom Clancy Edward Bunker, etc.) I read nonfiction. The vast majority of my books are military books of one kind or another. The remainder are predominantly adventure stories, stories of bravery, heroism, adventure, law enforcement,, forensics, science, space, space flight/exploration, etc. My favorite books are Marine Corps books, prison accounts, undercover infiltrations/investigations and books about gangs & outlaw motorcycle clubs, etc.
